The Ionia Standard, Friday, April 10, 1896

Benjamin Dykeman, an old resident of Muir, died at his home in that place on 
April 2, at 11 o’clock, being in the 82nd year of age.  He had not been well 
for two or three days, but was not considered dangerously ill until a few 
moments before his death.  Death was due to heart failure.  Funeral will 
probably be held on Sunday.
