He moved to the state of Ohio and lived there for a number of years. While there he joined the German Reform church and worked in harmony with them. When he came to Michigan he took his letter and joined the Free Will Baptist church, of which Elder Tupper was the minister. He acted as a deacon here as long as a member of the church, and was always ready to {unreadable} the minister in his work. That seemed to be a very happy time of his life, as he often in his last years spoke very enthusiastically of those times. There were several children of his former marriage, all of whom had passed away before him. He married his present wife in 1863, from this last union there are four children living. He came to Lake Odessa three years ago last June, having been in failing health ever since moving here. Mr. Dysinger was a man of clear, strong faith in God and the bible. God was to him a father and a friend, and his word the manna from which he daily fed. He has lived a long life in a most wonderful century, and passed away just before its close. The funeral was held at the Congregational church, Saturday forenoon, and the sermon delivered by the Rev. W. H. Skentelbury. The remains interred in Lakeside cemetery in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends of the deceased and his sorrowing family.
