Susan Kay Earl, age 53 of Knoxville, Tenn., passed away Sunday, October 3, 2004 
at her home surrounded by family.  Born in Ionia, she is survived by her 
husband of 15 years, Danny R. Earl; parents, Ross L. and Billie Horwood; 
daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Shawn Lane; sister, Linda Connell; step-
brothers, Dan Hoort, Doug (Peggy) Hoort, Dave (Cathy) Hoort; step-sister, Carol 
Murray; grandchildren, Gage and Dani Kay Lane; mother-in-law Ruby Earl; special 
friends Teri Walker and Kim Stanley; many nieces and nephews; the “Master 
Builders Family” Larry Clouse, Denny Lind, John Matlock, Don O’Mara, Rick Noel, 
Drag Yarbro and Mike Grissom.

Memorial services celebrating her life are Thursday, October 7 at 7 p.m. at 
Asbury United Methodist Church, 2822 Asbury Road, Knoxville, Tenn., with Rev. 
David Green officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be 
made to St. Mary’s Residential Hospice, 7447 Andersonville Pike, Knoxville, 
Tenn. 37938.  Arrangements by Cremation Options Inc.
