Earl, 83, of 240 Isham street, Lyons, died at Ionia County Memorial hospital Wednesday about 7:30 p.m. She was born in Lyons November 30, 1880, daughter of Albert and Nettie Leonard Link, and was married in 1907 to Frank Earl. He died in 1915. Mrs. Earl was a charter member and one of the last survivors of the Woman’s Relief Corps. She was a charter member of Lyons Grace Episcopal church and for many years was a member of St. Johns Episcopal church of Ionia. She was also a member of WSCS of Lyons Methodist church. Mrs. Earl first organized the Memorial Day observance in Lyons and was in charge of the event more than 20 years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Norman Hayes of Lyons; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Prayer service will be held Friday evening at 7:30 at Shaw-Rivett funeral home with the Rev. Gerald L. Hedlund officiating. The body will be removed from the funeral home at 10:30 Saturday morning and taken to St. Johns Episcopal church in Ionia for the service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Bierlein officiating. Burial will be at Lyons cemetery. Contributions for charity and church organizations will be accepted at the funeral home.
