Lake Odessa Wave, 1 May 1930

Lewis Grant Earle was born in Ravenna, Ohio, October 14, 1868, and passed away 
April 22, 1930, at the age of 61 years, seven months and eight days.

He was taken ill Saturday, April 19, and on April 21 he was removed to the St. 
Lawrence hospital where he underwent an operation for Ludwig angina, 
immediately cellulitis developed which proved fatal.

He came to Michigan with his parents at the age of 5 ½ years.  In 1897 he was 
united in marriage with Miss Flossie Knott of Lake Odessa.  To this union was 
born one son Avard of Sunfield, Mich.

He leaves to mourn their loss his wife, one son and three grandchildren, also a 
sister Mrs. H. T. Berndt and a niece and nephew, and many friends.

He was a kind husband and father and will be greatly missed.

The funeral was held at the home Thursday afternoon, Rev. M. H. Dawson preached 
and William Chipchase, George Kart and Stanley Dann sang.  Burial was at 
Lakeside cemetery.
