Death of Berlin Resident

Wm. Earle Dies at the Advanced Age of Eighty-three.

Wm. Earle, aged 83, an old and respected citizen, of Berlin, died at his home 
Monday morning after a long illness.

The funeral took place Wednesday morning at eleven.  A wife and six children, 
three sons and three daughters, besides several grandchildren survive him.  
Mrs. Chas. Locher, of Saranac, is a daughter.

Mr. Earle was eighty-three years old and was one of a band of twelve men 
prominent in the affairs of the community, who were born during the same year 
and whose custom it was for years to enjoy an annual gathering.  Only one of 
the twelve now remains alive.  Mr. Earle had a wide circle of friends who, 
while they mourn his loss, rejoice that he is free from suffering.  The burial 
was in Saranac cemetery.
