Gone to Her Rest.

Mrs. J. Milton Earle Has Passed Away – Death Called for Her Sunday morning.

The very sad news of the death of Mary E. Earle, wife of ex-senator, J. Milton
Earle of Lansing, was received here Monday and it caused a sadness to come over
many hearts.  Mr. and Mrs. Earle were residents here during all their married
life until moving to Lansing two years ago.  She was a woman of most esteemable
qualities a devoted wife and mother and her lovely and amiable disposition
endeared her to a large circle of friends.

The deceased was 45 years old; was born in Massachusetts and nineteen years ago
married Mr. Earle at Newton, Mass., removing to this place shortly afterward. 
She was a charter member of Doric Chapter O.E.S. and always took a deep interest
in the work having filled several positions with much credit.

For some time her health has not been good gradually growing worse from nervous
prostration until the end came sweetly and peacefully Sunday morning.  Her
remains were brought here Wednesday and escorted to River Ridge cemetery by
Doric Chapter and the Knights of Pythias, the former officiating at the
interment using the beautiful ritualistic service.

A profusion of floral emblems and beautiful bouquets from the several societies
and friends covered the casket.  The procession which followed the remains from
the station to the cemetery was a very large one and the expression of sorrow
and sympathy were manifest in the silent tear drop which fell from many eyes. 
She leaves a husband, a daughter and three sons.
