The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, August 27, 1941
Funeral services for Frank S. Earnest, retired farmer who died at his farm 
home near Fenwick at 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, will be held Friday afternoon 
at 2 o’clock from the Fenwick Methodist church.  Rev. S. J. Headley of 
Sheridan will officiate and interment will be at Clear Lake cemetery.  The 
body will be at the Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan until time for the 
funeral service.  

He was born November 21, 1863 in Hollensberg, in Kalamazoo county.  April 11, 
1891 he married Lida Brokaw and to them were born two children, Mrs. George 
Townsend of Orleans township and Forest Earnest of Fenwick, both of whom 
survive.  Also surviving are the wife, five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. 
Lottie Brown of Fenwick.

He had lived at his present home for 58 years.  Four years ago his health 
failed and he retired from farming.  He had been seriously ill for the past 
four weeks.
