C. Herald, of Sunday, May 29, contains the following of the death of Harry D. Easterbook, which occurred in that city Monday, May 23, at the age of fifty. “Harry D. Easterbrook of the night proof section (government printing office) passed away suddenly on Monday night last of heart disease. The deceased was appointed to the government printing office, from Ionia, Michigan, about seventeen years ago near the close of Public Printer Palmer’s first administration. After a brief separation from the service he was reinstated in 1900, since which time he has been continuously employed. Mr. Easterbrook was a member of Federal lodge of masons, of which he was the worthy past master, also a beneficiary of G.P.O. council No. 211. His sudden passing away in the prime of manhood, in his fiftieth year is universally regretted by his hosts of friends.” Deceased was formerly employed in the Standard office in this city and was highly regarded both as a printer and as a citizen. He was married while here to Miss Amelia S. Berger, who died about two years ago in Washington. C. D. Easterbrook of Orleans, brother of deceased, and Mrs. J. H. Freeland, of Freeport, a sister and Mrs. Barnes, of Lowell, aunt, attended the funeral, which took place on Thursday afternoon, May 26.
