Eavey, 72, of Muir, who died about noon Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George D. Robertson, in Muir, where he had been taken about two weeks ago suffering from a heart ailment. Mr. Eavey was born in Crystal, Montcalm County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eavey. He was married to Olive Slack of Crystal in 1897 and she died about 25 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Eavey had moved to Ionia County about 40 years ago and later moved to Muir where Mr. Eavey had a shoe repair shop until a few years ago. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Myron Bawl of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Wilford Tichner of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Alfred Thomas of Billings, Mont., and Mrs. George Robertson of Muir; two sons, Russell Eavey of Grand Rapids and Arthur Eavey of Lansing. Burial will be in the family lot in North Plains Cemetery.
