Ionia County News, 19 Feb 1931

Mrs. Edwin Eavey, of Lyons, died Monday morning at her home after a three 
weeks’ illness of heart disease.  The funeral services were held at the Lyons 
Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock by Rev. John Stewart.  Burial 
was in the Muir cemetery.  Bearers were Fred Maus, Leonard Kruger, Ora Maynard, 
Benny Pocius, Jer Harper and Francis Kruger.

Mrs. Eavey was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roswell Novinger and was born in 
Vernon, August 18, 1876.  Her marriage took place in 1898.  She was a member of 
the Maccabees.

Surviving are three children, Dorothy Eavey-Allore, Paul Eavey and Myrtle Eavey.
