Arthur D. Eavey, 81, a former Muir resident, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997 at
Heartland Medical Center.  He was born Oct. 4, 1915 in Fowler, the son of Fred
and Olive Eavey.  He was a press operator at Lindell Drop Forge and a veteran of
the Army in World War II.  He was a member of Muir Christian Church and
Hubbardston American Legion Post #182.

He is survived by two sons, Kenton (Camillia) Eavey of Lyons and Lonnis (Janice)
Eavey of Muir; two daughters, Laurel Kemp of Muir and Lonise (Eugene) Conroe of
Portland; 26 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death
by his parents, one son and one daughter.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir with
Pastor Bob Girdwood of Muir Christian Church officiating.  Visitation will be
Tuesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m..  Military services by Hubbardston American Legion
Post.
