The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, March 09, 2004
Clayton (Dale) Eby, 71, of Ionia formerly of Saranac, passed away March 6, 
2004 in Grand Rapids.  He was born February 16, 1933 in Alba the son of Samuel 
and Mildred (Jones) Eby.

He married Doris Priest July 28, 1951. He served in the Army during the Korean 
War. He was employed by Keeler Brass for over 30 years and he worked for Snows 
Lake Campground for 17 years. He was a member of the Saranac American Legion.

Clayton is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Doris Eby of Ionia; 
sons, James and Paula Eby of Ionia, John Eby of Ionia; daughter, Barbara and 
Lloyd Miller of Ionia; brother, Gail and Nancy Eby of East Jordan; brothers-in-
law, Robert and Reba Priest of Ionia, William and Edna Priest of Arizona; 
sisters-in-law, Donna and Marion Cotton of Oscoda, Mary and William Reynolds 
of Muir; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and 
nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Lyons-Muir Church with Rev. 
Kathy Clark officiating. Interment Saranac Cemetery.  The family will receive 
friends and relatives Thursday 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
