Echerson, together with a son of Leonard Bozung, had gone to the swimming place to cool off and get relief from the excessive heat. It is said that he had eaten a hearty supper and that shortly after he had entered the water he disappeared from sight and sank. The body was recovered as quickly as a drag could be made and he was hooked up and brought to shore, where Mr. Penton, of Smyrna, who had been summoned, pronounced him dead. Echerson lived with his mother and grandfather, a man name Murphy, on the Jacob Rutziger farm, a short distance west of Keene church. Funeral services are being held this afternoon at 1 o’clock from the house and at 2 o’clock from the Keene church.
