FUNERAL AT CHURCH SUNDAY AFTERNOON. -------------- Miss Ricka Eckardt of Woodbury passed away March 21, at Pennock hospital. She had been staying with her sisters the past three months because of failing health. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Evangelical church. Rev. G. E. Klopfenstein officiating, assisted by Rev. A. J. Hettler of Blissfield, Mich., a former pastor. Interment was at Lakeside cemetery. Those attending the funeral from away were George Klager and son, Sigmund of Bridgewater, Mich., Michael Klager of Ann Arbor; Ed, Rosa, Anna, Carl Martiny and Tena Hartwick of Clinton, Mich., and Miss Hulda Super of Fowlerville. OBITUARY Fredericka Eckardt was born in Woodland township, March 27, 1860, and passed away at the Pennock hospital in Hastings, March 21, 1935, at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 24 days. She was the oldest daughter of Adam Eckardt and his wife Katherine and remained at home as long as the parents were living after which she went to Woodbury where she lived until Dec. 26, 1934, making her home with her sisters during the past three months. At an early age she was converted and joined the Evangelical church of which she was a faithful member until her death. She leaves to mourn her earthly departure, three sister, Mrs. Christine Euper of Woodland, Mrs. Sarah Ostroch of Nashville, and Mrs. Anna Finkbeiner of Middleville, besides a large circle of other relatives and friends; one brother and two sisters are deceased.
