Ionia Sentinel Standard, 22 Aug 2015

Wanda M. Eckley, age 80, of Ionia, passed away Aug. 20, 2015, in St. Johns.  She
was born Jan. 6, 1935, in Ionia the daughter of Theron and Cruea (Wilber) Ritchey.

Wanda married Jack Bennett on Oct. 24, 1952; he passed in 1981.  She later
married Walt Eckley on March 28, 1983; he passed in 2000.  Wanda worked at
Chrysler for many years.  She loved to play bridge and was a huge Tigers fan.

Wanda is survived by her children, Laura (Terry) Haynes of Kalamazoo, CJ
(Lalonnie) Bennett of Ionia, and Lorraine Bennett of Fenwick; step-children,
Greg Eckley of Illinois, and Jeff Eckley of Illinois; sisters, Norma Woodbury of
Alma and Pat (Raymond) Linderman of Ionia; 14 grandchildren and 23
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack Bennett; husband, Walt
Eckley; infant son and infant daughter; sisters, Nancy (Ron) Davis and Marilyn
(Bob) Townsend; daughter-in-law, Dianna Bennett; grandsons, Kevin and Luke;
brother-in-law, Charles Woodbury.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, Aug. 24, 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in
Ionia with Pastor Mike Simmons.  Visitation on Sunday at the funeral home from
1-4 p.m.  Donations may be made in Wanda’s name to St. Jude’s Hospital,.
