Dennis C. Eckman, age 35, of Saranac passed away September 25, 2004 in 
Saranac.  He was born December 19, 1968 in Grand Rapids the son of Dale Eckman 
and Barbara Dykhouse.

He is survived by his mother Barbara and Gary Dykhouse of Belding; Grandmother 
Jean and Jason Ratterink of Grand Rapids; brothers, Dale and Michelle Eckman of 
Holland, Joel and Steff Eckman of Saranac, Steve and Shannon Eickhoff of 
Saranac, Joe Eickhoff of Lowell; step brothers Ryes and Jennifer Dykhouse of 
Grand Rapids, Darren Dykhouse of Washington; uncle Steven and Roxie Ridgeway of 
Grand Rapids; nephews Steven, Christopher; special friends Karen Strugen of 
Lowell and Jeanne Thornton of Ionia.  He was preceded in death by his father 
Dale Eckman in 2003.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Lake Funeral Home in 
Saranac with Pastor Starkweather officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday 
from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  Anyone wishing may make a memorial 
contribution to the Ronald McDonald House.
