Although it was known that she could not live long her death was unexpected just now. Mrs. Eddy was born in Essex county, Canada, March 6, 1846, and at the age of 11 years became identified with the pioneer interests of Orange township by the removal of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Moses Pla??, to this section. November 18, 1868, she was united in marriage to Elmore Eddy. They began housekeeping on a farm in Berlin township which was the home of Mrs. Eddy for 55 years. About eight years ago, three years after the death of her husband, she moved to Saranac. The children who survive her are John, who lives on the old farm; Thomas, Howard, and Lewis, of Saranac; Robert, a patient at the Traverse City hospital; Mrs. Nellie Hull, of Bruce’s Crossing;; Mrs. Lillian Lehrkind, Watertown, Wis.; Miss Louise Bliss, Odessa township.
