Mrs. Bertha M. Eddy, 82, of Saranac died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
Harriett Morrison, in Saranac at 7 a.m. Monday.  Mrs. Eddy was born at Vernon, 
Wisconsin, May 31, 1865, and came to Michigan in 1884.

She is survived by three sons, Lt. Col. Levi Eddy of Augusta, Ga.; and Stanley 
and Sherman Eddy, both of Saranac; two sisters, Mrs. Marion Leenhouts of 
Rochester, N.Y., and Olive Eddy of Dearborn; 10 grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services are to be conducted from the Morris funeral home at Saranac 
Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m.  Burial will be at Saranac cemetery.

Mrs. Eddy was a charter member of the Saranac Valley OES and belonged to the 
Ladies’ Literary club, the American Legion auxiliary, and held all offices in 
the Rebekah lodge.  Six years ago she was presented the highest degree in the 
Rebekah lodge at Grand Rapids.
