Saranac, March 13. – Mrs. Vivian Holmes-Eddy, wife of Sherman Eddy, died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Holmes, at 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon after an illness of several months duration. Mrs. Eddy recently returned to the home of her parents after an operation at Butterworth hospital, Grand Rapids, and until Saturday her condition was very favorable. Saturday a turn for the worse came and her death followed. Mrs. Eddy was 31 years of age and had been a resident of Saranac all her life except for a few years spent in Greenville and Los Angeles. She was one of the village’s most accomplished musicians. She leaves her husband, her parents, and one sister, Mrs. Alma Button. The funeral services for Mrs. Eddy will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday from the Methodist church in this village.
