Sentinel-Standard - Thursday Nov. 9, 1944

Following an illness of several weeks, for two weeks of which he was confined 
to the Ionia County Memorial hospital, Jay P. Eddy, 60, of 632 Harrison street, 
died Thursday morning at 3 o'clock.

A resident of Ionia most of his life, Mr. Eddy was a chef at Hamilton's 
restaurant for many years. He was a member of the Ionia Elks.

Survivors are two nephews, Roy Horrocks and Judd Horrocks, of Ionia, two 
uncles, Jeffrey Horrocks of northern Michigan; and Frank Eddy of Saranac and 
several nieces. 

Final rites will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bradley funeral 
home with Dr. Paul L. Stewart officiating.
