He had been ill for several weeks. He had lived with Mr. and Mrs. Kimble for the past twenty years. Mr. Eddy was born January 10, 1861, in Berlin township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peleg Eddy, on the farm which he owned at the time of his death and which had been in the Eddy family for more than 100 years. He was a former member of Berlin Grange and a race horse enthusiast. Survivors besides Mrs. Kimble are three other nieces and a nephew, Mrs. Lyon Townsend, of Orange, Mrs. Arthur Rumbaugh of Berlin, Mrs. William Carlyle of Plainwell, and C.G. Sible of Flint. Rev. Paul L. Stewart officiated at the funeral service held Wednesday afternoon from the Kimble home on Church St., Saranac. Burial was in Balcom Cemetery.
