Glen McCarty at the Boynton funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Easton cemetery. Edlin, who was employed on the night shift at the crankshaft division of Muskegon Motors in Jackson, was en route home shortly after midnight Wednesday when his car went out of control and hit a tree about two miles from his home. Fatally injured, he was found by motorists about 6 a.m. in the wreckage of his car. He was removed to a Jackson hospital where he died about eight hours later. He was born June 19, 1913, in Easton the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Edlin. He attended Welch school and Ionia high school. On April 25, 1936, he married Betty Whitschell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whitscell of Pearl street. They lived in Easton until about nine years ago when they moved to Jackson. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Thomas, 12, and Theodore, 9; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Edlin of Easton; and a sister, Mrs. William Verburg of Grand Rapids. Subsequent Publication: Monday, December 4, 1950 Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Glen McCarthy of Saranac at the Boynton funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. for Richard Edlin who died Wednesday in a Jackson hospital of injuries incurred in an accident earlier that morning. Burial was in Easton cemetery. Bearers were Orville Jerrell, Alfred Lile, Clark Townley, Roy Keirns, Vird Borders and Jasper Graham. C.
