Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2002

Mr. Thomas Charles Edlin, 63, of Grand Rapids, passed away Thursday, January 
10, 2002.  He was preceded in death by his father Richard Roy Edlin, mother 
Betty (Frank) Jeffery and his brother, Theodore Richard Edlin.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Sally Edlin; two sons, Mark Edlin and Matt 
(Krisan) Edlin; daughter, Lynn (Steve) Moulds; grandchildren, Zachary Thomas 
Edlin and Katelin Ann Edlin; two sisters, Judy (Tim) Belen, Peg Whitney and his 
aunt Dorothy and uncle William Verburg; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tom was born on June 7, 1938, in Jackson.  He later moved to Ionia and 
graduated from Ionia High School in 1956.  He married Sally in 1959 at First 
Methodist Church in Ionia.  They lived in Ionia for many years before moving to 
their home in Grand Rapids in 1967.

Tom was a partner in Grand Rapids Letter Service, Inc. until his retirement in 
1994.  He was an avid golfer and belonged to Grand Island Golf Club for many 
years, he was also an avid fisherman.  Computers were his passion and he loved 
making cards for all his friends.  He will be sadly missed by all his friends 
and family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Reyers North Valley 
Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave., N.E. at 3 Mile Road.  Interment in Balcom Cemetery, 
Ionia.  Relatives and friends may meet his family from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 
Saturday and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.  For those who wish, 
memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
