Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Fri. March 28, 1980


IONIA- Charles D. Edlin, 67, of 2157 Westover Drive, died Thursday at St. 
Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids.

 Mr. Edlin was born June 19, 1912, the son of Thomas and Grace DeGraw Edlin. He 
attended Dildine Schools and graduated from Ionia High School in 1933. Mr. 
Edlin farmed in Easton Township his entire working life.

 He married Ruth Potter nov. 1, 1941, at the Methodist Church in Lowell. After 
retiring in 1970, the Edlins moved to Ionia.

 He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Ionia; on e son , Gary of Lansing;  one 
daughter, Mrs. Edward (Charlene) Behnke of Roscommon; one brother, Dale of 
Ionia; four sisters, Miss Irene Edlin of Belding; Mrs. Vincent (Pauline) Larsen 
of Charlotte; Mrs. Marjorie White of Belding; and Mrs. Norman (Ethlyn) Kible of 
Saranac; and two grandsons, Jeff and Chris.

 Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Leddick Funeral Home, with 
(nephew) Pastor Joe Everett officiating. 

 The family will receive friends and relatives from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at 
the funeral home.

 Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
