Arlene Margaret Edmonds age 84 of Pinconning, formerly of Belding passed away 
Monday April 13, 2009 at Brian s House Hospice Center, Bay City. She was born 
in Ionia on March 8, 1925 the daughter of Fred and Lillian Miller Coulson. 

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Belding and was married to Alvin 
Edmonds on January 24, 1942 in Belding. He preceded her in death as did her 
brother Lewis Coulson and two infant brothers. 

She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie and Gerald Johnston of Pinconning MI 
and Sally and Richard Barthell of Baraga, MI, grandchildren, Pamela and Dick 
Huntly of Remus, Lisa and Eric Stanaway of Lansing, Barbara Johnston of Grand 
Rapids, Debra Hansen of L’Anse and Diane Johnston of Baraga, several great and 
great great grandchildren, her brother Lavern Coulson of Saranac and sister 
Velma Ludwick of Ionia and nieces and nephews. 

A family gathering was held on Tuesday April 14, 2009 at Hurst Funeral Home in 
Greenville and a graveside burial service will be held on June 6 2009 at 
Balcom Cemetery, Ionia.
