Coroner Orin Stone, who investigated, said Edmunds probably entered the room early in the morning and turned on the gas heater. The gas outlet was on when he was found by Mrs. O.M. Tracy, a sister at whose home Edmunds was living A physician worked for six hours in an attempt to save the aged man's life. Edmunds is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Early of Ohio, and a son, Earl Edmunds, of Belding. He is also survived by a brother, Louis Edmunds, of Sheridan, and a sister Mrs. O.M. Tracy, 254 East Main street. Edmunds was born in Fenwick and for 6 years was janitor in the Stevenson store, Ionia. His health had been bad for some time. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'cock at the Hall funeral home with burial at the Palo cemetery.
