Prayer services were held in Saranac at 1:30 o‘clock. Interment was in Saranac. Rev. Frank Loomis officiated at the services and Mrs. Ethel Loomis was in charge of the music. Mrs. Edson was a resident of Saranac for 60 years. She was born in Ohio, January 25, 1853, the daughter of James and Mary Haskins. December 24, 1874, she was married to Charles S. Edson, who preceded her in death in 1897. She had been spending the winter at her daughter’s home in Boyne City, where she died. She was a member of the Saranac Methodist Episcopal church. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Nettie Myers of Saranac and Mrs. Fineout of Boyne City; four sons, William J. Edson and Vernon C. Edson of Saranac; Hoy R. Edson of Detroit and Floyd P. Edson of Boyne City. Fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Relatives attended from Boyne City and Detroit.
