Ionia Sentinel, 27 Aug 1946

Clem D. Edwards, 50, died at his home at 643 Lafayette street, Monday evening 
after an illness of about two years.  He was born July 21, 1896, in Ionia 
township and December 25, 1914, he was married to Charlotte Hardy in Ionia at 
the Church of Christ by the Rev. Mr. Chapman.  He has lived here all his life 
and has been a salesman out of Grand Rapids for the Standard Oil company since 
1912.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; his father, Lester of Ionia; a daughter, 
Mrs. Don Lane of Kalamazoo; three sons, Donald of Lansing and Max and William 
of South Haven; two brothers, Frank M. Edwards and Leo of Ionia; four sisters, 
Mrs. John Shoemaker of West Branch, Mrs. Jack Shire and Mrs. Walter Fox of 
Lansing and Mrs. Orville Schuman of Detroit; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Myers funeral home 
with the Rev. Wayne Davis officiating.  Interment will be at Highland Park 
cemetery.
