Ionia County News, 20 Nov 1952

Mrs. Ida B. Edwards died at her home, 812 Hackett St., early Wednesday morning, 
Nov. 19.  She had been ill for more than three years.  Ida B. Spencer, daughter 
of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Spencer, was born in Otisco Township, Sept. 7, 1879, and 
was 73 years old at the time of her death.

She was married to Raymond R. Edwards of Belding February 7, 1900.  They lived 
in Belding until 1917, moved to a Montcalm County farm and later to Ronald 
Township, living there and in Palo until they came to Ionia in 1947.

Surviving are the husband; three daughters, Mrs. Marion Steele and Miss Edith 
Edwards, of Detroit, and Mrs. Morgan Smith of Willoughby, Ohio, a grandson, 
Gordon Wise, of Detroit, whom the Edwards couple raised; three other 
grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  A daughter, Ruth Edwards Wise, 
died May 24, 1924.

Services will be Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Boynton Funeral 
Home.  Rev. W. W. Pixley will officiate.  Interment will be in the family lot, 
River Ridge Cemetery.
