Edwards, 54, of Ionia Route 1 died shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital after being removed there Monday evening following a stroke. She had been in poor health most of the winter after suffering her first stroke. She was born June 7, 1898, near Hubbardston, daughter of Henry and Anna Grill. She taught school in Ionia county for about six years. She was a member of the Palo O.E.S. where she served this year as one of the star points and was a past worthy matron, was a member of the Methodist church, and Ronald Grange and the Ronald Willing Workers. Surviving are the husband, George O. Edwards who she married in 19_7; two sons, Lloyd G. with the U.S. Air Force in England and Franklin G. at home; one sister, Mrs. Robert Huey of Flint; and three brothers, Harry Grill of Hubbardston and Henry Otto Grill and Fred O. Grill of Ionia Route 1. Prayer services will be held at the family home in Ronald township Sunday at 1:45 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Harold Homer of Hubbardston at the Palo Methodist church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in Palo cemetery.
