Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Fri., Sept 22, 1961
George O. Edwards, 62, Ronald township farmer of route one, died at 10:20 p.m. 
Thursday at Ionia Rest home where he had been a patient the past three weeks.  
Prior to that he was confined two months at Ionia County Memorial hospital.

He was born January 19, 1899, in Bushnell township, the son of Franklin and 
Minnie Conklin Edwards, and had lived almost his entire life in Ronald 
township on the present farm.  He was married in Hubbardston February 16, 1927 
to Freda Grill, who died in June 1952.

Mr. Edwards was a member of F&AM Lodge at Palo and a member of the Farm Bureau 
and Ronald Grange.

He is survived by two sons, Franklin G. Edwards of route one and Lloyd Edwards 
of Ionia; four grandchildren.

Funeral service will be a Boynton Funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. with graveside 
service under the auspices of F&AM lodge at Palo cemetery.  The Rev. Harold A. 
Jayne of First Methodist church will officiate.  

The family will be at the funeral home Sunday from 2 until 5 p.m. and 7 until 
9 p.m. to receive friends.
