Ionia Sentinel Standard, 25 Mar 1993

Eloise M. Edwards, 65, of Orleans, died Wednesday at the Blodgett Memorial 
Medical Center in grand Rapids.  She was born April 21, 1927, in Ionia, the 
daughter of Bernard and Vera Dargitz Phelps.

She attended Ionia High School.  She worked at Mitchell-Bentley and A.O. Smith 
for 19 years, and at Ardens Corporation for four years.  She married Raymond 
(Cookie) Edwards and he survives.

She is survived by two sons, Michael and Raymond, Jr. of Ionia; three 
daughters, Kathleen Simon and Joan Feneis of Westphalia, and Mary Holcomb of 
Orleans; 11 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.  She was preceded in 
death by five children; and one granddaughter.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Shiloh Community Church, 
with the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Organist will be Beverly Harger.  
Burial will be in the Orleans Cemetery.  A memorial has been established for 
the charity of the Donors Choice, in care of the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.
