Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Monday, Aug. 12, 1935

Stewart G. Edwards, six-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Edwards, 503 West 
Main street, was found dead Monday afternoon at 1:30 only a few minutes after 
being put to bed for an afternoon nap. The baby had been fed and was put in bed 
at 1:15 and 15 minutes later Mrs. Edwards heard a gurgling noise and rushed in 
to the nursery and found the baby dead. A physician was called and pronounced 
its death was from suffocation. 

The baby is survived by his parents, three brothers and one sister at home and 
a grandfather, Claude Brockway. 

Funeral arrangements have not been made.
