ANGELA DAWN EDWARDS 1976-2019
After a long period of multiple illnesses, Angie left this earth on Saturday, 
January 12, 2019, to be safe in the arms of Jesus. She found much comfort in 
the Bible verse, John 3:16. Angie became a Certified Medical Assistant, and 
worked in the process of certifying physicians for Metropolitan Hospital and 
Priority Health System. No matter what, Angie worked hard in school and in 
her career, excelling in all that she put her energy into.

Angie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Cookie and Eloise 
Edwards, and an uncle, Mike Edwards, all of Ionia; her maternal grandparents, 
Richard and Gladys Bradley and an Uncle, Steve (Mary) Bradley of Lapeer. she 
was most affected by the loss of her sister, Heather Rae Edwards who died in 
infancy. Although they never knew each other, she always wondered how much 
alike they would be as they grew older. She was compassionate and always 
offered much comfort to her parents when Heather's birthday approached each 
year.

She is survived by her parents, Ray and Kathy Edwards of Fenwick; four aunts, 
Mary B, Kathy S., Joan P. and Mary H. Of her many life accomplishments, she 
was most proud of being an aunt to 3 amazing nieces and nephews, Breann 
Edwards and Brittney Edwards both studying at U of M and Bradin Edwards at 
Central Montcalm High School. Her biggest disappointment was the physical 
limitations place on her that kept her from knowing them better and plans to 
change that in her new happier home.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Sheila Gendich, a hospice physician who kept 
her promise of keeping her comfortable, also, the staff in all departments of 
Laurels of Carson City who provided her so much love, compassionate care and 
advocated in for her along the way as her journey came to an end. The nurses 
personal Care and personal touches like stroking her hair and spending time 
on the bed with her when she needed someone to be close to calm and comfort 
her. They attended to her whims when she wanted iced tea or pickles and made  
sure that Christmas in the nursing home came with many gifts from them and 
Santa. A family that we are mentioning last but is first in our hearts is the 
Peter and Amanda Dykstra  family of Ionia. Amanda started out simply proving 
light housekeeping assistance and quickly advanced to a best friend and 
comfort provider, both physical and emotional to Angela. Peter would even 
step in and assist at all hours of the night when needed and their children 
provided unconditional companionship and love. Their presence and kindness 
shall never be forgotten.

It has been a long journey but in man ways for Angie, a whole new journey has 
just begun, free of pain and filled with joy. There are so many positive 
thoughts and people to thank we could continue on, but just ask you to keep 
Angie in your thoughts and prayers.

Angela requested a simple graveside service with family and friends, which 
will take place at Orleans Township Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, 
January 17, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating, where she will be buried near
