                                Joann M. Edwards

Joann Marian Edwards, of Ionia, passed away December 7, 2022 at the age of 90.
She was born October 26, 1932, the daughter of Glen and Verna (Weatherbee) 
Mason. Joanne was a lifetime member of Palo United Methodist Church, where she 
made countless friends over the years and always lent a helping hand to those in 
need. She retired after many years from Gibson's in Belding. Joann had a passion 
for gardening and was quite the cook and baker-specializing in fried chicken, 
dumplings, pies and cakes. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune,Jeopardy, and 
the Lawrence Welk Show.Joann was a caring woman who made sure her family and 
those around her were well taken care of.Joann will be missed by all who knew 
and loved her.

Preceding Joann in death are her parents; beloved husband of 66 years,Keith 
Edwards; granddaughter, Kelly Edwards; grandson,Matthew Edwards; siblings,Jean 
(Bud) Peterman, Bob (Margie) Mason, and Sheldon Mason. Surviving are her sons, 
Rick (Diane) Edwards, Steve Edwards, Kim (Jodi) Edwards, Danny Edwards, and 
David (special friend, Kim) Edwards; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 
sister-in-law, Judy Mason; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service honoring Joann will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 
10, 2022 at the Lehman FuneralHome, 220 Rich St., Ionia.Interment will be in 
Palo Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Friday 6-8 p.m and one hour 
prior to the funeral service on Saturday at the funeral home. Online condolences
