Mildred H.  Eefsen, 73, of 7512 Main Street, Portland, Oregon, died July 1 at 
the Sunnyside Medical Center.  She was born in Ionia August 4, 1902.  She was a 
registered nurse graduating from the Blodgett Memorial school of Nursing in 
Grand Rapids in 1922 then moved to Oregon in 1944.  She was a member of the 
Montavilla adult center and worked at the Emanuel Hospital as a registered 
nurse from 1958 to 1961.



Surviving are her husband, Herman; four daughters: Mrs. Margaret Sherman of 
Portland, Ore., Mrs. Barbara McCracken of McMinnville, Ore., Mrs. Patricia 
Hungerford of Milwaukie, Ore., and Mrs. Linda Bull of Lake Grove, Ore.; one 
brother, William Adgate of Ionia; 13 grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren.  Services were July 3 at 11 am at the Portland Memorial funeral 
home, Sunrise Chapel.  Burial was at the Portland Memorial Mausoleum. 



Memorial contributions were to the Oregon diabetic research foundation.
