Hastings Reminder - 

L. Roger Eggers, age 78, of Lake Odessa, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 
at his residence.

He was born February 10, 1933 in Fennville, the son of Albert Ralph and Ruth 
Geraldine (Arnold) Eggers.

He graduated from Holland High School and Western Michigan University.

Roger held many positions with Lakewood Public Schools including teacher, coach 
and administrator before his retirement in 1990. Following his retirement from 
Lakewood, Roger was bus driver for Hartzlers Tours out of Lake Odessa. 
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Troy F. Beggers.

Surviving are his son, Tate (Dia) Eggers; grandchildren, Bryce, Kirby, Riley 
and Isaac; sister, Kathleen (Allard) Frankfort and three nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, 
December 18 at Koops funeral Chapel – Lake Odessa.

Memorial services for Roger will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 
19, 2011 at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 10265 E. Brown Road, Lake Odessa. 
Private interment at Fennville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Roger’s name may be directed to Lakewood Athletic 
Association, c/o Lakewood High School, 7223 Velte Road, Lake Odessa, MI 48849 
or Lakewood Educational Foundation, c/o Union Bank, 933 Fourth Avenue, Lake 
Odessa, MI 48849.
