The Belding Banner, Thursday, December 19, 1963


Mrs. Lillie Mae Eggleston, age 71, died suddenly Monday at her home, 219 2/1 W. 
Main St.  

Born in Coleman, Michigan, Aug. 11, 1892, Mrs. Eggleston had lived in Belding 
since 1926 and she was retired from Jolly Kids Togs.  In 1913, she was married 
to Guy Otis in Coleman and he died in 1924.  In 1928 she married Claude 
Eggleston and he preceded her in death.  Mrs. Eggleston was a member of the 
First Baptist church of Belding and belonged to the Royal Neighbors and the XYZ 
Club.

Survivors are one son, Kenneth J. Otis, Superintendent of Schools in Vicksburg 
and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at 1:30 p.m. at the Huffman 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Johnson of the First Baptist church 
officiating.  Burial will be in Coleman, Michigan.
