Aug. 29, 1908 HE DIED BY ROADSIDE JOHN EILENBURG OF MUIR TAKEN SUDDENLY. While Passing Through Vacant Lot, On Way to Visit Neighbor- He Was Stricken With Apoplexy-An Exemplary Citizen. John Eilenburg died suddenly Sunday evening. Mr. Eilenburg left his home to call on one of his neighbors, but as time passed by and he did not return his family became anxious. A search was begun. Between twelve and one o'clock the body of Mr. Eilenburg was found by Wm.Sherman, in a vacant lot. To all appearances death came without warning and peacefully as there was no evidence of any struggle. The body was lying face upward, one hand in his pocket and the other across his breast. Mr. Eilenburg leaves a wife, daughter, son and one grandson; also three sisters, Mrs. L.M.Greenwood of Muir; Mrs. Hartwell of Cleveland and Carrie Eilenburg of Rochester. Mr. Eilenburg was very popular in his home town. All who knew him were his friends. His home life was an exemplary one and he will be sadly missed. But the memory of a just noble and unselfish life will always remain to soother and comfort the bereaved family. The funeral services were at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Beshgetoor was the officiating clergyman, assisted by Rev. Stevenson. Interment in the Muir cemetery.
