Dr. Stewart said, in part, in his sermon; "In this life we have many attachments. The greater our sense of belonging, the greater our sense of loss and sorrow when that relationship is broken by death." "We belong to our friends and they belong to us. Our of that experience of belonging there is revealed the beauty and value of friendship." "We belong to our loved ones and they belong to us. From this sense of belonging a house becomes a home, with warmth and love, expressing the virtues of understanding and devotion together with the fine art of appreciation. All of these qualities were so fully expressed in the life of this wife and mother." "We belong to God. He is our creator. He is our heavenly Father. From this sense of belonging to God and God belonging to us there arises the reality of faith and trust and hope, making us the recipients of eternal truths and divine promises. Because of this acknowledged kinship with the Eternal, it really means something to us when we hear the words of the Master- In my Father's house are many mansions. I go to prepare a place for you" The funeral sermon closed with the reading of the 23rd Psalm. Bearers were Fred B.
