Hastings Reminder, 3 Jan 2005

George Ervin Eldred, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away on December 25, 2005.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Bertha (Mesecar) Eldred; and 
grandson, Dennis Eldred.

George is survived by his wife, Glenna; son, Dorlan (Donna) Eldred; step-son, 
Don (Marilyn) Stahl; grandchildren, Chris (Steve) Shellenbarger, Diana Eldred, 
Tracey Langmaack, Devin Eldred, and Dawn Eldred; great grandchildren, Kyle 
Langmaack, Ashley Langmaack, Jennelle Langmaack, Nathan (Amanda) Shellenbarger, 
Devin Eldred, Jr., Dan Doyle, Joshua Eldred, Jennifer Eldred, Kara Eldred, and 
Jenna Eldred; sister-in-law, Ada Kottkamp; and several nieces and nephews.

George had worked for General Motors during World War II making torpedoes, and 
retired from Bradford-White in Middleville after 26 years of service.  He had 
farmed for many years and was a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge #231 in 
Middleville.

The funeral service was held at the Koops Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 
28, 2005 with Pastor Mick Funderburg officiating.  Burial was in Clarksville 
Cemetery.  The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to 
the Calvary Grace Brethren Church.  Arrangements are being made by Koops 
Memorial Chapel in Clarksville.
