Sentinel-Standard - Friday, Jan. 26, 1951

Funeral services for Mrs. Ernanie M. Eldred, 61, of 216 Lafayette street who 
died at the Ionia Convalescent home about 1:20 p.m. Thursday, January 25, after 
a long illness will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Stone-Kauffman 
funeral home. Dr. Paul Stewart will officiate. Interment will be at North 
Plains cemetery.

She was born Nov. 27, 1889 in Ionia township the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis 
Ney Olmstead. She was married to Foss O. Eldred in 1907 at her home and they 
then moved to Ypsilanti where he taught at the normal college for 4 years. 
While there she attended and graduated from Cleary Business college. They moved 
to Ionia in 1971 where they have resided since.

Mrs. Eldred was a member of the Queen Esther chapter, O.E.S., the White Shrine 
of Jerusalem and the Ionia Country club auxiliary.

Surviving are the husband; a son, Ney, Ionia county prosecuting attorney; two 
grandsons; and a sister, Mrs. Don F. White, of State street.

It is earnestly requested that all flowers be omitted.
