Fidelia L. Somers, eldest daughter of Nicholas and Elvira Somers was born Dec. 
8, 1837 in Onondaga County, N. Y., where she lived until the age of ten.  She 
then went with her parents to Steuben County, N. Y., where she grew to 
womanhood.  In the year 1860 she was united in marriage to Niram Eldredge.  In 
1871 she came with her family to Michigan where she has resided until her 
death on Sunday morning, May 15, at 7:30 at the age of 66 years, 5 months.  
She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, two daughters, five brothers and three 
sisters.  In early life she was baptised and joined the Christian Church.  She 
was a kind, indulgent parent and will be sadly missed by her friends and 
neighbors.
