Betty Eldridge, age 88, of Lake Odessa, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012. 
Betty loved to have a good time, enjoying family parties, dancing, and playing
cards especially Euchre and the Portland VFW Euchre tournament.  She loved to
work in her flower garden and always try to get her work done during the week,
so she could have fun on the weekends.  She was born to Ferdinand and Sadie
(Wilcox) Wohlscheid on October 17, 1924 in Portland.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Lawrence Eldridge; her
daughter Kitty Arnesen; and three sisters and two brothers.  She is survived by
her children, Sharon (John) Ackerson, Diane (Richard) Capps, Keith (Michelle)
Merryfield, and Ken (Kim) Merryfield; 18 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and
great-great-grandchildren, her sisters and brother, Mary Sandborn, Helen Fandel,
Jerry (Nancy) Wohlscheid, and Gwen (Don) Bentley; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Koops Chapel, 935 4th
Avenue, Lake Odessa, with Pastor David L. Flagel officiating.  Interment was at
Lakeside Cemetery.  Contributions in memory of Betty may be made to Lakewood
United Methodist Church.
