Henry C. Eldridge, 54, of Belding dropped dead Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at the 
home of a friend, Eugene Earl, of Barryton where he had been spending the day. 
Mr. Eldridge had ridden his motorcycle to Earl's home and after eating dinner 
prepared to leave for home when he died. The coroner, Dr. L. Franklin, of Remus 
attributed his death to a heart attack.

He was born in Odessa township April 1, 1894, and had lived since April 1 with 
his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eldridge, 217 East Ellis 
avenue, Belding. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Eldridge was a member of the 
Stanton Church of God and of the Belding Webelos Motorcycle club.

Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Eva Eldridge of Belding; the son, Harold; four 
grandchildren; and a brother, Robert, of Alma.

The body was removed to the Fitzjohn funeral home where services will be 
conducted Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. with interment in Stanton.
