Lake Odessa Wave
          PEARL ELDRIDGE SERVICES TODAY
   Mrs. Pearl B. Eldridge, age 76, of Ainsworth Road, Lake Odessa, passed away
Monday evening at Kent Community Hospital, Grand Rapids, where she has been a patient 
for six weeks following an extended illness.  
   She was born September 25, 1901 in Odessa Township, the daughter of John and
Phiannah (Near) McLead and lived her entire life on farms in the Lake Odessa area.  On 
March 8, 1920 she married Eddie Eldridge in Lake Odessa.  He passed away April 24, 1974.   
They celebrated their 54th anniversary in March o 1974.
  Mrs. Eldridge was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, WS.C.S., Friendship
Club, Lakeside Grange, American Legion Auxiliary.
   Surviving are:  two sons, LaVerne and Lawrence, both of Lake Odessa:  four
daughters, Mrs. Madonna Hilley of Lansing, Mrs. Marie Wickham of Charlton Center, Mrs. 
Bruce (Margaret) Gender of Belding and Mrs. Calvin (Madeline) Beuhler of Freeport;  24 
grandchildren;  and 20 great grandchildren.
   Mrs. Eldridge reposes at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa, where
services will be held Thursday (today) at 1:30 p.m. Rev. William Hertel will officiate with 
interment at Lakeside Cemetery.
