Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2 Apr 1971

Claude J. Eldridge, 80, died Thursday at his North Plains township home.  He was
born in Orange township August 26, 1890.  In 1910 he was married to Lizzie Dick.
 He was a lifelong farmer and member of Hubbardston Masonic Lodge.

Surviving besides his wife, Lizzie are three sons, Arthur of Traverse City,
Kenneth and Claude, Jr. of Lansing; three daughters, Mrs. LaWayne Maynard of
Lansing, Mrs. Robert Howe of DeWitt and Mrs. Ross Parrish of Ionia; ten
grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Edith Randall of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Estep funeral home north of Muir.
 Rev. Hollis Tiffany of Lansing will officiate and interment will be at Tuttle
cemetery.  Bearers will be his sons and sons-in-law, Kenneth, Arthur and Claude
Eldridge, Jr., LaWayne Maynard, Robert Howe and Ross Parrish.  Family was at the
funeral home Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m.
