Ellicott, 79, died in Edward hospital in Naperville, Illinois, Tuesday morning, May 8, at 3 o’clock, where he had been a patient for the past 17 days. He was born December 14, 1876 in Pickering, Canada and had been living at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Richard Harley of Glenn Ellyn, Ill., for the past three and one-half years. He was formerly in charge of the laundry department at the state hospital in Ionia for 18 years until his retirement in 1945. Preceded in death by his wife, February 9, 1952, he is survived by two sons, Maurice Ellicott of Ypsilanti and Ford Ellicott of San Francisco, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Richard Hurley of Glenn Ellyn, Ill. and one sister, Mrs. Robert Erwin of Pleasant Ridge, Mich. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, May 10 at 1:30 at the Boynton funeral home, with the Rev. Heath Goodwin officiating. Intombment will be at Highland Park Mausoleum.
