The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, April 7, 1978

Grace L. Elliott, 67, of 631½ West Main, died Thursday at a Grand Rapids 
hospital.  She was born January 9, 1911 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter 
of John and Elizabeth Leonard Endres.

She married Clare Elliott April 7, 1947 in SS Peter and Paul rectory and they 
made their home in Ionia before moving to Portland.  Mr. Elliott preceded her 
in death in 1955 and Mrs. Elliott returned to Ionia.

Mrs. Elliott was employed in the office at Mitchell-Bentley and at Ionia 
County Memorial hospital for 15 years, retiring in March, 1976.  She was a 
member of SS Peter and Paul church, the Altar society, Our Lady of Fatima 
Rosary Circle, Daughters of Isabella and Cart ‘N Lobby guild of Ionia County 
Memorial hospital.

Survivors include one brother, Roland Endres of Ionia.

Funeral mass is Monday at 10:30 a.m. from SS Peter and Paul church with Father 
Mark VanGorp officiating.  Burial is in Mt. Olivet cemetery.  Rosary will be 
recited Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Leddick funeral home.  The family will receive 
friends and relatives at the funeral home Friday, 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday and 
Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  A memorial fund is established for the American 
Cancer Society.
